RHTC, together with national partners in Armenia, organized the Scientific Conference: “Preventing unsafe abortion in the present and in crisis situations with the help of telemedicine in line with WHO recommendations”.
The conference was held in Yerevan with the aim to familiarize the medical community of Armenia with the results of the recently held formative study in telemedicine, the main provisions of the WHO 2022 guidelines “Care in abortion”, as well as to share the experience in their application in the Republic of Moldova and other EECA countries.
The conference was accredited by the Ministry of Health in the system of postgraduate continuing professional education of medical workers in Armenia.
It was attended by decision makers of the MOH of Armenia, representatives of WHO Geneva and country office, UNFPA, public health managers, national and international experts in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive health and telemedicine. Participants included representatives of non-governmental organizations and the media, including an independent journalist from the USA.
